At the end of this lesson, you will be able to demonstrate how to add vignetting (burned-in edges) to your image by creating a new layer, filling this layer with black, dragging a selection over the image using the rectangular marquee tool and pressing the 'delete' key on the keyboard to cut a hole in the image.
Requirements:
- Watch the video tutorial shown on the next page.
- Open 'OriginalImage3.jpg' and use it to practise the method shown.
Note: 'OriginalImage3.jpg' can be downloaded in 'Photography Preparation - Lesson 1'. - Save your file when all adjustments have been made. As this file will contain layers it
will automatically be saved as a Photoshop .psd file. Select 'File > Save' and give it an appropriate name e.g. 'Lesson11'.psd.
To save this file as a JPEG refer to 'Lesson 5'.
