At the end of this lesson, you will be able to demonstrate how to resize the image taken with the digital camera by selecting the 'Image Size' from the 'Image drop down menu' and increasing the resolution.
The default settings for many digital cameras produce an image that has large physical dimensions but low pixels-per-inch, usually 72 ppi. In resizing the image we want to increase the resolution, and decrease the size without losing any of its quality.
Requirements:
- Watch the video tutorial shown on the next page.
- Open 'OriginalImage1.jpg' and use it to practise the method shown.
Note: 'OriginalImage1.jpg' can be downloaded in Photography Preparation - Lesson 1. - Save your file when all adjustments have been made but give it a new name so that OriginalImage1.jpg can be used for all subsequent lessons. Select 'File > Save As' and call it 'Lesson 3.jpg'.
This lesson consists of three pages - click the Next page button at the bottom right of the browser window to continue.
